I’ve decided to bring another thing that I love to my blog: reading. I read alot, always have, and hopefully always will. Even when I was a child, the thought of getting immersed into a good book left me enthralled. I believe that reading is so important [I promise this isn’t a lecture post!]. If you think reading is boring, you’re reading the wrong books. Don’t let anyone ever tell you that it is ‘stupid’– Quite the opposite actually, as it makes you smarter!
Today I’ll be reviewing a book I recently read and loved. As a huge dystopian fiction fan [that’s post apocalyptic, or futuristic] I had been meaning to read this book for a while, and it was only when I ran out of books to read did I pick it up from the library. I’m so glad I did! I don’t want to give too much away, as I don’t want to spoil the book for you, so I’ll just post the blurb from the back of the book. If you would prefer a longer summary in future, let me know!
About the Book;
The blurb simply doesn’t do this book justice. Although I thought the book appeared good enough after reading the back, never did I think it would be as good as it was! Its one of those books that you just cant put down. Each chapter left me wanting more, as I constantly wanted to know what happened next. The book features a strong, independent female, which I like. Usually, I tend to dislike the lead female character, for just being annoying, however I could relate to Cassia and found her very easy to like. I wasn’t too keen on the male characters, for once! I know it may seem like a typical teen love triangle, but it really isn’t! It was a very believable book, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. The plot itself was very captivating. There were no moments where I wanted to to fall asleep half way through- From the very first page, I was hooked. If you like The Hunger Games or Divergent, you will definitely love this.
Have you read Matched? Will you be reading it? What do you think of my new book review series?
